Noise Complaints

By-Law Enforcement handles residential noise complaints within the City of Mississauga.

When a noise complaint is reported, a letter is sent to the person creating the noise and a letter and noise package is also sent to you. The package includes a noise diary for you to start documenting the dates and times you are disturbed by noise. Start recording the noise disturbances from the date you receive the noise package and for a minimum of 3-4 weeks.

Should charges be laid for violations of the by-law, you will be required to appear in court as a witness and provide evidence as shown in the Noise Diary.
