The new Official Plan must still be approved by the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing before it comes into effect.

Key points related to the by-law

  2. The Official Plan provides the basis for Mississauga’s land use and design, in line with the City’s Strategic Plan.
  3. The plan is updated every 10 years, as required by the Ontario Planning Act.
