Featured opportunities this fall

Learn an essential life skill with swim lessons

Swim for Life lessons help participants develop swimming and water safety skills through step-by-step lessons for different ages and skill levels. Whether learning the basics or advancing existing skills, participants gain confidence in and around the water.

Build career-ready skills with Aquatic Leadership courses

Aquatic Leadership courses provide a pathway for youth and young adults interested in becoming lifeguards, swim instructors or aquatic leaders. Participants develop leadership, teamwork and lifesaving skills while working toward certifications that can lead to future employment opportunities in recreation and aquatics.

New: Intermediate First Aid (CPR-C & AED)

This fall, participants can register for the new Intermediate First Aid course (formerly Standard First Aid), which includes CPR-C and AED certification. It provides comprehensive first aid training and prepares participants to respond to a wide range of emergencies, including allergic reactions, strokes, burns, fractures, seizures, diabetic emergencies and environmental injuries. The certification is also a prerequisite for Bronze Cross and an important step for those pursuing aquatic leadership certifications.

Big opportunities for little learners

Preschool recreation and culture programs provide young children with opportunities to learn, move, explore and create in a fun, supportive and welcoming environment.

  • Kindergym – is designed for curious little movers. It helps children build confidence and develop essential movement skills through climbing, balancing, jumping and exploring age-appropriate obstacle courses.
  • Mini Sports – introduces children to a variety of sports through engaging games and activities that help develop teamwork, coordination and movement skills.
  • Little Artists – helps build big imagination. Participants can explore painting, drawing, crafts and hands-on projects that encourage creativity, self-expression and confidence in a fun and supportive setting.

Winter camps

Winter camps provide fun, safe and supervised opportunities for children and youth to stay active with indoor and outdoor activities during the holiday break when school is out. Participants can explore a variety of interests while building confidence, creativity and social connections.
