With concerts, movies and family-friendly events on the calendar, there are plenty of reasons to get out and experience a live event in Mississauga. The best part? Beautiful venues, affordable tickets and free parking – all close to home.

Living Arts Centre

Arts and entertainment take centre stage this October at the LAC, including shows for all audiences.

Shows as part of a series:

  • October 8: REEL Thursdays in collaboration with TIFF Film Circuit – H is for Hawk

    Thoughtful, visually stunning and emotionally resonant, H Is for Hawk explores loss, resilience and the healing power of the natural world. In collaboration with TIFF Film Circuit, REEL Thursdays presents an eight-show series, featuring monthly screenings of this year’s festival favourites and award-worthy cinema.

  • October 18: Adaptive Concert in collaboration with Xenia Concerts – Charlotte Tang, fortepiano

    Performed on a historical fortepiano, this immersive concert brings to life beloved works by Chopin, Schubert, Liszt, Beethoven, Clara Schumann and more. Part of the Adaptive Concert four-part series, these family-friendly, accessible concerts feature a variety of musical styles that embrace neurodiversity and disabilities.

Meadowvale Theatre

In the mood for a cozier atmosphere? Look no further than Meadowvale Theatre, where matinee performances featuring the very best in contemporary jazz music will have you dancing in your seat.

  • October 4: B-Jazzed – Andrew McAnsh Quartet featuring Johnathan Morin 

    Award-winning trumpeter Andrew McAnsh brings his dynamic quartet to the stage, fusing bold contemporary jazz with fearless improvisation—backed by a résumé that includes collaborations with some of today’s most celebrated jazz artists. Part of the B-Jazzed four-part series, featuring afternoon performances by some of Canada’s most notable contemporary jazz musicians.

  • November 1, 2026: Día de los Muertos Drag Brunch at LIVE Restaurant in Living Arts Centre
    Celebrate an unforgettable Drag Brunch featuring headliner Matraka, a live mariachi band, Catrina makeup booth and an afternoon celebrating culture, community, and jaw-dropping artistry.

  • January 8 to 17, 2027: Skate Canada 2027 Canadian National Skating Championships at Mississauga Sports and Entertainment Centre

    The 2027 Canadian National Skating Championships brings together the country’s best junior and senior athletes to compete for national titles in mens, womens, pairs, ice dance and synchronized skating.

  • January 17, 2027: Bored Teachers: “Is It Friday Yet?!” Comedy Tour at Living Arts Centre
    Bored Teachers is back with brand-new jokes, bigger laughs and the most relatable teacher comedy you’ll ever hear. Get ready to laugh until you cry as the funniest teacher-comedians in the world share their side-splitting stories, savage truths and hilarious classroom confessions.

  • April 8, 2027: Harlem Globetrotters: Rivalry Tour at Mississauga Sports and Entertainment Centre
    The Harlem Globetrotters – the team that invented basketball culture – bring the Rivalry Tour to Mississauga as part of their all-new 2027 world tour, with a roster of stars who turn every possession into showtime, quarter after quarter.
