Temporary parking permit

You can request a temporary parking permit for your home address.

These permits last for five days and can be used for up to five different vehicles.

Each address or vehicle plate is eligible for up to 14 short-term street parking permits per calendar year. Once either the address or plate reaches this annual limit, an automatic email notification will be sent to inform you that no additional permits can be issued for the remainder of the year. Permits are not valid on private property or where there are prohibitive signs. Ensure you have your vehicle plate numbers before starting the permit request process.

Permit suspension or cancellation

A permit may be suspended or cancelled due to weather conditions. To get updates about citywide winter parking restrictions, follow us on X @MississaugaSnowsubscribe to Citywide Winter Parking Restriction alerts or call 311 (905-615-4311 if outside city limits).

Vehicles not eligible

A temporary parking permit is not available for a heavy vehicle, broken down or unlicensed vehicle, school bus, commercial vehicle, detached trailer or a vehicle displaying a “For sale” sign.

How long it takes

Your temporary parking permit will expire five days after the start date you requested.
