April is tax season, and we’re here to help. From return to refund, Mississauga Library, in partnership with the Canada Revenue Agency, is here to ease some of the stress caused by tax season with free workshops and tax clinics. The library strives to educate and empower Mississauga residents by providing programs that reflect their needs and interests. This includes helping residents understand their taxes, complete their tax return and get the benefits and credits they’re entitled to.
Whether you’re a retiree, a teen with your first job, a newcomer to Canada or someone in need of a tax refresher, you can learn about a range of topics. Workshops include information about how the Canadian tax system works, how to file your tax return and ways to protect yourself from tax scams.
