Entertainment and activities | June 6, 2023
On June 8, hundreds of fourth-grade students from across Mississauga will gather outdoors at Mississauga Celebration Square for the Grade 4 Read to Succeed Award and Wrap-Up Celebration.
This program introduces Grade 4 students in Mississauga to their local public library and encourages them to read for pleasure throughout the year. The goal of this program is to ignite the joy of reading and to motivate students to visit the library on a regular basis. At the end of each school year, classes with the highest participation rates across Mississauga are invited to a special event at Celebration Square!
Research indicates that reading incentive programs, like Grade 4 Read to Succeed, assist with improving literacy and reading levels for children of all ages and can contribute to future academic success.
