Come and celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Mississauga Seed Library with a range of workshops, gardening experts and family-friendly activities. The workshops will take place at the Small Arms Inspection Building on Saturday, February 24, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Not only does the program provide a satisfying experience for individuals and families to explore the pleasures of gardening, but it also aims to bolster local food systems, cultivate seed-saving literacy and encourage the use of locally adapted plants. Seed gardens can be grown either indoors or outdoors, depending on the weather conditions.
The City is hosting events in Mississauga to celebrate the tenth year of the Mississauga Seed Library with workshops, gardening experts and family-friendly activities.

At the end of the growing season, don’t forget to harvest your seeds and return some of them to the library. This will help keep the Seed Library self-sustaining.
