The City is working with Lime Technology, Inc. and Bird Canada to offer up to 300 e-bikes and 900 e-scooters for rent as part of our Shared Micro-mobility Program. The goal is to provide an alternative and sustainable way for people to get around Mississauga.
You can rent e-bikes and e-scooters for a fee set by each operator.
For information about devices available near you, pick-up and drop-off locations and rental fees, download the operator’s mobile app or visit their website at:
Rental e-scooters will be unavailable from December 2025 to Spring 2026 due to snow and icy weather conditions. A reduced number of rental e-bikes will be available city-wide during the winter season. These e-bikes are maintained and equipped for safe winter cycling.
Please be aware that there may be temporary service impacts, including service pauses or parking restrictions, during and after snowfall and other inclement weather. Use the Lime Technology Inc. or Bird Canada mobile apps for real-time updates when planning your trip.
For more information about how to prepare for winter cycling and commuting, please visit Commuting through winter weather: How to stay safe on the roads this season.
Rental e-bikes or e-scooters must be returned to designated parking stations and parking areas.
These are usually located near community centres, libraries, bus stops, park entrances and major intersections. There are over 600 places to park rental devices across Mississauga and can be found in the apps.
The City is adding new parking stations to high-demand areas. They will be marked on the ground, have rubber mats or other physical infrastructure. They will be dedicated to rental e-bikes and e-scooters, leaving public bike racks available for personal devices.
When returning a rental e-bike or e-scooter:
You can be fined by the service provider if you fail to park the rental e-bike or e-scooter properly.
Parking violations include devices blocking sidewalks, access to buses and driveways, left on private property or tipped over.
Rider violations include riding on sidewalks, carrying a passenger or riders appearing younger than 16 years of age.
