While the hot and humid dog days of summer may be coming to an end, the City of Mississauga knows there’s still some doggy paddling left to be done – by your pooch, that is.

The City is hosting a Dogs Only Swim event on Saturday, September 7 at the Lion’s Club of Credit Valley Outdoor Pool. The event is the first of its kind and marks the end of the City’s summer swim schedule.

Between 10 a.m. and noon, the outdoor pool will be open exclusively to dogs – no people in the pool allowed.

Space is limited, so dog owners are asked to register prior to the event. Although the event is free, attendees are encouraged to make a donation to Mississauga Animal Services (SCARF), either online or at the event.

To participate in the event, dog owners must complete a mandatory waiver form, provide proof of vaccination and adhere to all Dog Swim Pool Rules.
