Family Day fun awaits in Mississauga!

This Family Day weekend, the only place to be is right here in Mississauga.

Entertainment and activities | February 10, 2026

From Friday, February 13 to Monday, February 16, get ready to enjoy a weekend of excitement with sports that get you moving, arts that spark your creativity, and activities for the whole family. Whether you’re spending time in the downtown core at Celebration Square or enjoying the many activities happening in neighbourhoods around the city, there’s no shortage of ways to stay active and enjoy the Family Day long weekend.

Make downtown Mississauga your Family Day destination

Downtown Mississauga is a perfect spot to dance it out at a free DJ‑powered skating party on Celebration Square, warm up on heated patios and grab tasty snacks from the food trucks all weekend long (February 14 to 16).

Be sure to catch select live screenings of the 2026 Winter and Paralympic Games, because what’s more Canadian than gathering with family, friends and fellow fans to cheer on our Canadian athletes going for gold! Experience the excitement and share the moments of the Games together in the heart of the city.

While you’re there, check out refined living by taking a tour of a tiny home, making its debut at Celebration Square on Family Day, February 16. Habitat for Humanity staff will be on-site to answer questions about how they’re built and whether one could work on your property.

More fun awaits just across the street, so be sure to visit the Living Arts Centre and enjoy drop‑in creative activities that include dance and creative workshops, screen printing, and digital art from noon to 4 p.m.

Experience Jungle Book live at the Living Arts Centre this Family Day

Enjoy free Family Day weekend fun city-wide

Your favourite community centre is waiting for you! February 14, 15 and 16 enjoy free drop-in swimming, skating, dancing, art, sport and fitness activities. You may even want to practice your hockey skills during stick‑and‑puck time. Activities are offered on a first‑come, first‑served basis.

Looking to spark creativity and imagination? Drop in to your local Mississauga Library on February 14 for more free family fun including story time, building big with LEGO, board games and hands-on activities for all ages.

Get Outside for Family Day Fun

Spend your Saturday (February 14) with a visit to the Bradley Museum, where the historic grounds turn into a winter wonderland. Enjoy free snowshoeing, snow games (weather permitting), simple crafts, and other fun outdoor adventures. Between activities, warm up with a cup of hot chocolate and enjoy the storybook‑like scenery.

Keep your outdoor Family Day fun going by exploring the city’s beautiful parks and trails, visiting the Port Credit Memorial Park skating trail or tobogganing on one of the City’s six designated hills.

Winter safety

As you enjoy the outdoors this holiday weekend, make sure to steer clear of frozen lakes, ponds, rivers, and creeks. Even if the ice looks thick, it can still break with the changing temperatures. Ice near the shore or riverbank is especially weak and slippery. To stay safe, don’t walk, skate, or play on any natural ice. Keep your distance and enjoy winter fun in safe areas instead.

Office and facility closures

City offices, including Mississauga City Hall, the Ontario Courthouse, 311 Citizen Contact Centre, Clerks, all Mississauga libraries, museums and some community centres will be closed on Monday, February 16. View city hours of operation.
