Fortune 500 Company Donates Electronics to the Central Library to Support Kids Programs

On May 24, the Mississauga Central Library is thanking Samsung Electronics Canada for their donation of a 55” television and 30 GALAXY Note 10.1 tablets. The donation helps Library staff introduce a “digital literacy” component to existing programs for children, youth and older adults in libraries.

Children participating in the programs can express their creativity in new ways and engage in collaborative learning activities.

What:
Children six-years-old and older will be reading digital, interactive storybooks complete with sounds and motion. Teens will be using the new tablets to create digital storybooks.
