The City of Mississauga is celebrating the official reopening of Don McLean Westacres Outdoor Pool.

After the ceremony, residents can visit with friends and neighbours, enjoy local entertainment, a complimentary swim and refreshments, and meet “Buddy” the Lifesaving Society mascot.

The redevelopment of Don McLean Westacres Outdoor Pool was made possible by funding from the Government of Canada Community Infrastructure Improvement Fund.

Don McLean Westacres Outdoor Pool is 47 years old and serves approximately 85,000 residents. It is the last of the City’s outdoor pools to be redeveloped and includes updated mechanical systems to increase the pool’s lifecycle, efficient use of energy and water and improved accessibility for residents of all ages.
