Mississauga expands popular Dog Swim to three locations

If your dog could use some excitement, exercise, and an opportunity to socialize with other dogs, then this event is perfect for you! Since the launch of Mississauga’s Dog Swim Event in 2019, this annual tradition has brought the community together for a good cause. Donations collected online or in person during the registration process will go to the Animal Services Special Care for Animals and Resources Fund (SCARF).

To participate, dog owners must complete a mandatory waiver form and follow all Dog Swim Pool Rules. Dogs must be vaccinated, as outlined in the City’s rules.

Note: People are not permitted in the pool but may watch from the deck.

Where:

• Applewood Outdoor Pool – 10:30 a.m. to 3:15 p.m.

• David Ramsey Outdoor Pool – 10:30 a.m. to 3:15 p.m.

• Lion’s Club of Credit Valley Outdoor Pool – 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Cost:

Please make a donation to the Animal Services Shelter.

Your generous donations will:

• Purchase shelter items and medications for the animals
• Provide extra veterinary care and specialized surgeries
• Support spay and neuter of adoption animals
• Provide funds to the animal foster care program for specialized diets and care
• Fund animal housing improvements

Treat your pup to a splash in the pool and the chance to mingle with some water-loving, four-legged friends, while supporting a great cause.
