Whether there are sidewalks bordering your property or you use sidewalks during your commute, the City of Mississauga is currently seeking input from the public on the need for a Sidewalk Snow Clearing By-law.

The by-law would require residents to clear the portion of sidewalk bordering their property after a snowfall. It would also only address those sidewalks that are not cleared by the City such as those in residential areas. Currently, the City’s winter crews clear sidewalks along major roads and other areas where there is access to hospitals, schools and transit.

The public can share their thoughts by taking a quick survey to help guide the City’s discussion on whether a Sidewalk Snow Clearing By-law is required.

Take the survey by visiting https://app.keysurvey.com/f/1399160/548c/. Survey is open until May 10.
