November consultation opportunities

Updating the Clarkson Village Study – community meeting

The City of Mississauga is updating the Clarkson Village Study. The study, completed in 2014 with input from residents and area businesses, created a comprehensive vision and planning policies to help revitalize the area.

The Clarkson Village Study Update will revisit the 2014 policies to make sure they are still relevant for the area. The update will look at opportunities for more housing. It will also examine ways to encourage a more vibrant main street where residents can easily walk to shops and other services.

Community input continues to be important part of the process. We want public feedback on what’s working well and if there are areas for improvement. Visit mississauga.ca/clarksonvillage to learn more and register for our virtual community meeting on November 25.

Get involved in the Malton Sustainable Neighbourhood Action Plan

Do you have ideas on how to make the Malton neighbourhood more environmentally sustainable, vibrant and resilient? Help shape the Malton Sustainable Neighbourhood Action Plan (SNAP). This initiative is a collaboration between the City of Mississauga, Toronto and Region Conservation Authority (TRCA), the Region of Peel and local community groups.

This action-oriented plan will address a range of environmental, social and health-related issues within the neighbourhood to enhance the quality of life in the community while building climate resilience and encouraging sustainable practices. The SNAP includes all residential areas within Malton as well as two adjacent employment areas.

Have your say by filling out a survey by January 31, 2026 or attending an open house at the Malton Community Centre on Sunday, November 23 to provide input on future priorities for the Malton SNAP.

Live Music Noise By-law survey

This exemption applies to activities such as live amplified concerts, including vocal performances or instrumental performances in front of an audience at the same location.

Music businesses, musicians and residents are encouraged to share their thoughts on how to enhance live music activities in Mississauga by completing a short online survey. Submissions will be accepted until December 2, 2025.

About public consultation on City projects

The City of Mississauga actively engages residents in many forms of public consultations to gather input on City initiatives, plans, by-laws and developments. This ensures that community needs and perspectives inform City decisions, leading to more effective governance and a stronger relationship between the City and residents.

Public consultations are central to the decision-making at the City. Consultations encourage connections and inclusivity, allowing for meaningful dialogue, ideation, collaboration and feedback. Residents and businesses are invited to share their input in a variety of ways. While each consultation opportunity might vary, from information sessions, open houses and workshops to online engagement opportunities and surveys, feedback helps to shape our City to better meet your needs.
