Public Information Session about the Construction of Fire Station 125

Come out and learn more about the new Fire Station 125 and get some great fire safety information from Mississauga’s Fire and Emergency Services’ public education team.

Event Details

What:
Residents are invited to view the designs and construction plans for Fire Station 125 including the relocation of the Union Park leash-free zone.

Residents will have the opportunity to learn and see how the new fire station and leash-free park are being integrated into the community and pick up some important fire safety information. Staff from Mississauga Fire & Emergency Services, Parks, Forestry and Environment, and Facilities and Property Management teams will be present to discuss the plans and answer questions.

This is a drop-in session. There will not be a formal presentation.

Background:
The construction of Station 125 is part of a City-wide plan to build six new fire stations over the next 12 years to improve emergency response times. Station 125 was designed with an environmentally-responsible approach, achieves net zero energy and meets the City’s Corporate Green Building Standard. Once completed, Station 125 will be the City’s 22nd fire station.
