Homegrown Mississauga Fall Season Garden Care and Maintenance Workshop
Learn food gardening basics at our Fall Season Garden Care and Maintenance Workshop.
We’ll walk you through garden care and maintenance fundamentals for the Fall season like planting fall crops and cover crops, saving seeds, planting garlic and tips on how to put your garden to bed.
Emphasis will be placed on organic, sustainable food growing techniques that respond to Mississauga’s changing climate through the promotion of healthy soil, water conservation, and other low-impact gardening.
This workshop will include an indoor hands-on gardening activity involving saving seeds from seed heads. Great for residents with limited or no gardening experience. Everyone is welcome. Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult. Walk-ins are welcome!
The Fall Season Garden Care and Maintenance Workshop is the third of our four-part Homegrown Mississauga Gardening Series. The final session will take place close to the end of the year so keep an eye out for winter workshop dates!
