Family Day 2025, presented by TD

With activities from noon to 4:00 p.m., there’s something for everyone. Join us in Downtown Mississauga and make this Family Day one to remember!

Celebration Square

Bring your skates and visit Mississauga Celebration Square for some outdoor fun! Enjoy free ice skating under the winter sky while DJ Andre 905 spins live music from noon to 4:00 p.m. You can warm up on one of Celebration Square’s heated patios with hot chocolate and delicious treats from C Café or one of the tasty food trucks onsite.

• Free ice skating from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
• DJ Andre 905 spinning live from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
• Food trucks serving from 12:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
• C Café open from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Living Arts Centre

Just steps away from Celebration Square, join us at the Living Arts Centre to experience performances of the much loved family story,  “The Gruffalo’s Child.” This children’s classic by Julia Donaldson and Axel Schaeffer will take the stage for two performances in the Main Auditorium. Get tickets now!

The Living Arts Centre will also feature a host of drop-in creative activities including:

• Creative Dance: experience the joy of movement through dance, music, and play (for ages 3-5 years old) from 12:00 p.m. to 12:45 p.m. and 2:15 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. in Staging Room
• “Let’s Put On A Show”: participants will bring a classic story to life in just 1.5 hours (for ages 6-8 years old) from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. in Studio Theatre
• Collagraph Printmaking: working with a variety of materials, participants will design and assemble a layered collagraph plate to create a series of prints (for ages 6+) from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the Galleria
• Digital Art Mural: do you want to explore the world of digital art? Learn digital drawing and contribute to a community digital mural (for ages 6+) from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the Gallery Space
• Screen Printing: explore screen printing techniques in our professional textile studio (for ages 9+) from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the Textiles Studio
• Face painting at LIVE Restaurant from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Parents and guardians must supervise their child(ren) during all program activities.
