We’re working in partnership with Peel Region and Toronto and Region Conservation Authority – with support from the Cities of Mississauga and Toronto - to transform Mississauga’s Lakeview waterfront into a thriving 26-hectare conservation area.

We’re Connecting People and Wildlife with Nature

Through a series of consultations with our Indigenous partners, community members and partner organizations, we’re building an accessible network of trails, boardwalks, lookouts and gathering spaces.

These new amenities at the conservation area will showcase the site’s diverse cultural and ecological history, while providing scenic connections to wetlands, grasslands, forest environments and Lake Ontario.

We’re Developing a Management Plan

We’re initiating a management planning process that will guide the operations and protect the new greenspace and its features once it opens to the public.
