Jumblies Presents: Grounds for Goodness
Live: evolving exhibition, interactive arts activities and pop-up performances during open hours: Tuesday to Friday 12:00 pm to 6:00 pm, & Saturdays 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.
Online: daily stories, virtual tours and short films, glimpses of activities and rehearsals.
Grounds for Goodness, a touring project conceived of and led by Jumblies’ Artistic Director Ruth Howard, explores the theme of “social goodness”: why and how people sometimes behave in good ways towards each other in difficult times. The project adapted to virtual and remote modes during the pandemic, resulting in an eclectic collection of stories, short videos and performance works, contributed to by hundreds of participants, available for all to see at any time by visiting the Grounds for Goodness evolving website at groundsforgoodness.ca.
Jumblies is a Toronto-based organization with a national and international reach that engages in collaborations between professional artists and diverse people and communities, and mentors and supports others to do so. Jumblies expands where art happens, who gets to be part of it, what form it takes and which stories it tells.
