Learn to Fish 2026

The Learn to Fish program is a free program that teaches new anglers how to fish in Ontario.

This fun and engaging 2–hour program combines a 1-hour practical teaching session with one hour of supervised hands-on fishing.

A few key things to note:

  • Children under the age of 18 must be registered by and accompanied on site by an adult
  • All required fishing equipment will be provided
  • We recommend that participants bring appropriate sun protection including a sun hat
  • Participants are not required to have a fishing licence while taking the program but all participants must follow all Ontario fishing regulations
  • Registration is required
