Mississauga’s public art program has launched its second Public Art Plan (2025), endorsed by City Council and designed to guide the implementation of its public art program for the next five years.
It focuses on three key areas: guiding principles offer ongoing processes that center the needs and values of the public; priority locations for future public art projects incorporate themes and ideas selected by local residents; and 14 key recommendations that identify specific public art project, policy and funding opportunities that can be realized in the next five years.
