A saugaLIVE Presents Event in collaboration with the TIFF Film Circuit
If I Go Will They Miss Me is a powerful and visually stunning coming-of-age drama that blends magical realism with heartfelt family storytelling. Set in the vibrant Watts neighbourhood of Los Angeles, the film follows 12-year-old Lil Ant as he struggles to connect with the father he idolizes after his release from prison. Weaving together imagination, mythology, and community, this poignant and uplifting film explores identity, belonging, and the enduring bond between parent and child. Presented in honour of Black History Month, it is a moving celebration of resilience, family, and the power of seeing one another.
