Shaam-e-Rekhta Canada brings Rekhta’s celebrated cultural mehfil to Canada with an evening devoted to Urdu, poetry, music, and culture. Designed as a refined celebration of language and heritage, it carries the warmth of a traditional mehfil into a contemporary stage format.

The evening features two signature presentations. Rekhta Mushaira honours the timeless tradition of Urdu poetry, bringing together poets and poetry lovers for a celebration of words, wit, emotion, and expression.

Rang Aur Noor, written and directed by Huma Khalil, is a vibrant two-hour cultural spectacle that brings together dance, live singing, music, and storytelling. The show takes audiences on an immersive journey through the golden era of Urdu poets whose timeless lyrics continue to inspire generations and speak to every mood and memory.

Together, Rekhta Mushaira and Rang Aur Noor make Shaam-e-Rekhta Canada a celebration of art, culture, nostalgia, and the enduring spirit of Urdu.
