Simplé
Simplé is a four-piece R&B, world music, and pop group.
Proudly wearing the Tagalog pronunciation of their name, they take the sounds from their roots, their surroundings, and the music they now love into intimate, soulful, and globalized experience. From old love songs of the Filipino kundiman, harana, and OPM genres, to beloved R&B anthems in an acoustic, jazzy setting, to classic bossa novas and boleros from Latin America: they look to connect with their audiences by honouring the great musical communities of home abroad, home in Toronto, and the places around the world that continue to inspire and draw them from their roots, in a “simplé” way.
