The legendary production “The Maids” by the renown theatrical director Roman Viktyuk, based on Jean Genet’s play “Les Bonnes.” Premiering on September 17, 1988 at the Satirikon Theatre, the production became a landmark theatrical event and a manifesto of new theatricality. Bold, provocative, sensual, and visually unforgettable, “The Maids” explores the fragile line between fantasy and reality, obsession and rebellion, love and hatred.
Audience advisories: Play is age restricted to aged 16+, haze warning. This play will be performed in Russian.
