The Slow Streets program is a road safety initiative that helps to reduce speeds on neighbourhood streets using temporary traffic calming devices.

This project was archived on August 15, 2023.

The following information will no longer be updated. It remains for reference only.

For more information about the plan, check out Slow Streets.

On Slow Streets, temporary traffic calming devices like barricades, flexible bollards, barrels and signage are installed along the roadway, giving pedestrians and cyclists space to move around, while maintaining physical distancing.

All Slow Streets projects are evaluated for community support before being implemented.
