You need a licence to run a salvage yard in Mississauga.
A salvage yard is an automobile wrecking yard or similar premise that is within an enclosed building or within an area surrounded by a rigid fence which provides a complete visual barrier.
Your licence expires annually, one year from the date it’s issued. A renewal notice will be sent to the email address on file. If no email is available, it’ll be mailed to you.
The site must be inspected by a Licensing, Permits and Regulatory Services Officer. We’ll schedule this with you when you apply and pay for a site inspection.
A new licence costs $225.66.
A licence renewal costs $220.04.
A site inspection fee costs $139.26 (HST included).
No HST is charged on licence fees.
You can apply for or renew your licence in person or by mail. Only complete applications will be reviewed.
