The City issues two types of parking tickets:
- Tickets that have a number beginning with the letter ‘P’ (Penalty Notices)
- Tickets that have a number beginning with the letter ‘M’ (Parking Infraction Notices). ‘M’ tickets are issued for parking offences at Pearson airport.
Parking tickets are usually processed right away and can be accessed online within minutes of being issued, so you can view, pay and dispute the ticket immediately.
Handwritten parking tickets can take up to five business days from the issue date to appear in the system before the option to pay or dispute is available. Check the system regularly to make sure you pay your ticket by the due date.
You can pay both types of parking tickets online, in person or by mail. You will need your ticket number.
Bring your parking ticket to the Ontario Court of Justice at 950 Burnhamthorpe Road West to pay it in person.
Monday to Friday: 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
We do not accept cheques for in person payments.
Write the ticket number on the front of your cheque or money order payable to: The Corporation of the City of Mississauga, and mail it to:
City of Mississauga
P.O. Box 3085, Station A
Mississauga, ON L5A 4E3
Payment must reach our office on or before your ticket’s due date to avoid late fees. Do not send cash by mail. Post-dated cheques or payments by instalments will not be accepted.
Late fees for parking tickets
If you make a payment after the due date on your ticket, you will be charged late fees.
If you don’t pay and haven’t disputed your ticket you may be unable to renew your licence plate validation sticker or get new licence plates until all outstanding fees are paid.
