Snow Clearing - Routes and Maps

Priority Roads

The City of Mississauga clears Priority Roads first before residential or local roads. Priority Roads are routes for emergency vehicles, public transportation and most street traffic.

Priority roads are plowed and salted after snowfalls of more than 8 centimetres (3") and are completed within 12-24 hours after the end of a snow storm. Learn more about winter service levels here.

Priority Sidewalks

Priority Sidewalks are plowed and salted by the City when snowfall exceeds 8 centimetres (3”). Priority Sidewalks are located on major roads or bus routes, or provide access to hospitals, schools or long-term care homes. Be a good neighbour by clearing the sidewalk in front of your home and help out your neighbours with snow shoveling, especially those who may be elderly or living with a disability.
