MiWay is Getting on the Grid – Learn More About 2016 Service Changes

Business and innovation | February 29, 2016

Residents are invited to attend one of the MiWay information sessions being held from March 7 to 10. The sessions will provide residents with an update on 2016 service improvements that start to shift buses to a grid network as identified in the MiWay 5 Service Plan (2016-2020).

The sessions will also highlight service improvements  on the Mississauga Transitway, which include offering MiWay service to the newly opened Erin Mills Station, improving the frequency of route 109 (a transitway route) and offering new weekend service on route 101 Dundas Express. The transitway is a dedicated, east-west bus corridor scheduled to be fully complete in 2017 with 12 stations.

“MiWay 5, our new five-year service plan, was created with community feedback,” said Mary-Lou Johnston, Manager of Business Development for Transit. These information sessions not only offer residents an opportunity to learn about the changes occurring this year; it also allows them to see how their input and feedback is helping shape MiWay’s service delivery and future transit expansion across Mississauga.”
