Closures
Access to the Cawthra Woods trailhead will be closed on the community centre side to ensure the community’s safety. Access to the trail will continue to be available from the northeast path connections of the woodlot.
Relocated programs
Programs at Carmen Corbasson Community Centre will continue to be available to residents at alternative locations while the centre is closed for redevelopment.
The Mississauga Seniors’ Centre is not included in the redevelopment of Carmen Corbasson Community Centre. It will remain open throughout the course of this project. Minor facility updates are being considered over the next couple of years as budget and opportunity allows.
During the redevelopment of the community centre, site access to the seniors’ centre will change slightly to allow for the construction zone to be secured.
As of May 2023, access to the Mississauga Seniors’ Centre will be affected in the following ways:
Due to construction activities, Arbour Court will be one way traffic to the entrance to the facility.
Exit for the Mississauga Seniors’ Centre is available using the Cawthra Park Secondary School entrance. Extended commuting times to be expected.
For those arriving by transit, MiWay service will continue at the bus stop on Cawthra Road throughout the redevelopment.

The Community Improvement Plan aims to increase affordable rental housing in Mississauga. Through the plan, the City is creating an incentive program to encourage rental housing development.
