Current step: Detailed design phase (expected completion: summer 2026)
We have completed the planning and preliminary design study phase of the project. We are now in the detailed design phase of the project. In this phase, we will:
- Further develop and refine the preferred design alternative (preliminary design)
- Conduct additional field investigations to support the design work
- Secure all required permits and approvals
- Set up the construction schedule and phasing
- Review and update coordinated works and project funding amount with the Region of Peel as part of the City’s annual capital budget preparation and approval process
Next step: Tender phase (expected start: fall 2026)
In this phase, we will:
- Issue tender
- Review call for submissions
- Bid submissions
- Conduct selection process
- Award the construction contract to the chosen contractor
