On Saturday, August 8, the City of Mississauga is celebrating its public works professionals and the important work they do with a free Family Fun Day event – and you’re invited! The City hosts Family Fun Day each year in May during National Public Works Week. This year, the May event was cancelled due to rain and has been rescheduled to August 8 outside City Hall.
The City’s public works professionals help keep Mississauga residents and visitors safe and moving. They maintain roads, sidewalks, parks, natural areas, bike lanes, transit stops, stormwater infrastructure and more.
Family Fun Day is a free event open to all ages. This is a great opportunity to meet City staff and learn more about their work through a variety of interactive family-friendly activities. Get up close to the equipment and trucks and join in on the fun.
