Diversity and Inclusion Advisory Committee Citizen Applications Accepted until January 23

Citizen applications to the City’s newest advisory committee will be accepted until January 23, 2015. Mississauga’s City Council formed the Diversity and Inclusion Advisory Committee (DIAC) on December 17, 2014.

The City held an open house on November 26, 2014 for citizens who were interested in serving on other City committees.  The application period for committee appointments other than DIAC closes today at 4:30 p.m.

The Diversity and Inclusion Advisory Committee was formed to ensure the City’s Master Plans are executed with an emphasis on improving diversity and fostering greater inclusion of all residents and stakeholders.

Background:
Vacancies for citizen members on all of the City’s committees, local boards, and authorities will be filled in early 2015 for the 2014-2018 term of City Council.
