Accessibility Advisory Committee
The Mississauga Accessibility Advisory Committee advises, recommends and assists the City in promoting and facilitating a barrier-free Mississauga for citizens of all abilities (universal accessibility) including persons with disabilities.

Advertising Review Panel
The purpose of the Advertising Review Panel is to review advertising as requested under the City of Mississauga's Pacing Advertisement with the City Policy #03-09-01, as may be amended from time to time.

Audit Committee
The Audit Committee is a Standing Committee of Council which oversees the administrative systems regarding financial accounting, reporting, internal control, safeguarding of corporate assets, compliance with legal, ethical and regulatory requirements and the efficient and effective use of resources.

Budget Committee
The Budget Committee is a Standing Committee of Council established to deliberate on the Budget, which includes both the Capital and Current Financial Program for the City of Mississauga.

Committee of Adjustment
The Committee of Adjustment is authorized by the Ontario Planning Act to grant minor variances from the provisions of the Zoning By-law, to permit extensions, enlargements or variations of existing legal non-conforming uses and give consent to an owner of land who wishes to sell, convey or transfer an interest "part" of their land.

Committee of Revision
The Committee of Revision is a quasi-judicial committee comprised of three members appointed by the Council of the City of Mississauga. The Committee of Revision is authorized by the Ontario Municipal Act, 2001, as amended, and Regulation 584/06 which set out the local improvement process and the subsequent imposition of charges to the individual tax rolls of affected owners.

Council
City Council is responsible for setting the policies of the Corporation. Council meets on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month and special meetings may be called by the Mayor or upon the request of the majority of members of Council.

Election Campaign Finance Committee
Pursuant to the Municipal Elections Act, 1996, the Election Campaign Finances Committee considers applications for election campaign finance compliance audits and makes a determination as to whether the application should be granted or rejected, and undertakes all other responsibilities set out in the Legislation.

Environmental Advisory Committee
The Environmental Advisory Committee is an advisory Committee of Council established to consider issues related to the environment.

Festival Funding Review Committee
This is an advisory committee of Council which will review funding practices of established festivals in Mississauga and make recommendations to Council for the 2010 budget deliberations. This committee is comprised of five (5) Councillors and six (6) citizens and supported by an advisory board that includes the Director of Arts & Culture, My Mississauga Manager and other appropriate staff. A representative from the Port Credit Paint the Town Red festival is also apart of the advisory board.

General Committee
General Committee is comprised of all members of Council and considers matters of business presented from all corporate departments and/or advisory committees of Council, with the exception of planning matters.

Governance Committee
Pursuant to Resolution 0261-2011 passed on November 9, 2011, Council established a Governance Committee to prepare Terms of Reference with the mandate to examine issues including, but not limited to, the role of the Integrity Commissioner, ethics, lobbying, the Code of Conduct, and election financing.

Heritage Advisory Committee
This advisory committee makes recommendations to Council on matters relating to proposed and designated heritage properties within the City.

Mississauga Appeal Tribunal
The Mississauga Appeal Tribunal is comprised of five (5) citizens established to conduct hearings of appeals under the City of Mississauga's Licensing By-laws and Animal Care and Control By-law.

Mississauga Celebration Square Events Committee
This is an advisory committee of Council which makes recommendations to Council on matters relating to the events on the Mississauga Celebration Square.

Mississauga Cycling Advisory Committee
The Mississauga Cycling Advisory Committee's main responsibility is to increase the safety, quality and quantity of multi-use recreational trails in the City of Mississauga.

Museums of Mississauga Advisory Committee
The Museums of Mississauga Advisory Committee will provide advice and recommendations to Council with respect to policy issues related to the City of Mississauga's museums and artifact collections and will also provide leadership, vision, advocacy and continuity of purpose for the Museums of Mississauga.

Nominating Committee
The Nominating Committee is a Standing Committee of Council struck for the purpose of reviewing applications, selecting which applicants will be interviewed, conducting the interviews and making recommendations for the appointment of Citizen Members to committees as well as other local boards and authorities seeking citizen representatives.

Planning and Development Committee
Planning and Development Committee is comprised of all members of Council and its main responsibility is to fulfill the requirements of the Planning Act. This committee generally meets on the first and third Monday of each month.

Property Standards Committee
The Property Standards Committee hears appeals by registered owners of property who have received a Property Standards Order regarding a component(s) of their property that does not conform to the Property Standards By-law.

Public Vehicle Advisory Committee
This advisory committee makes recommendations on matters relating to the provision of taxicab, limousine and livery services in the City and at the Airport.

Road Safety Mississauga
The Mississauga Safe Driving Committee was renamed by Council on October 14, 2009 to be known as "Road Safety Mississauga", and is an advisory committee of Council.

Towing Industry Advisory Committee
This is an advisory committee of Council which makes recommendations on matters relating to the towing industry in the City of Mississauga.

Traffic Safety Council
This is an advisory committee of Council which makes recommendations designed and intended to protect students from the dangers of vehicular traffic.
