CITIZEN APPOINTMENTS TO CITY OF MISSISSAUGA ADVISORY COMMITTEES
Joining a City committee is a unique opportunity to contribute to your community! The City of Mississauga is currently seeking citizens interested in volunteer opportunities to serve on the following committee of Council for a term of office until November, 2018.
ROAD SAFETY COMMITTEE (8 vacancies)
The Road Safety Committee provides a community perspective on road safety issues, promotes public awareness and education for road safety initiatives and programs, with an aim to enhance community participation and cooperation. The Road Safety Committee will consult with and promote partnerships with other committees and agencies, while supporting ongoing City programs and projects in an effort to raise the profile of road safety in Mississauga.
Appointed members are expected to participate in promotional events on a regular basis to raise awareness related to road safety to residents and business.
- Canadian Citizen;
- Mississauga resident and/or business owner; and
- Minimum 18 years of age.
Employees of the City of Mississauga or Region of Peel are not eligible for appointment.
