First Look at Mississauga’s Preliminary Forecast Takes Place June 13

On Wednesday, June 13, the City of Mississauga’s Budget Committee will meet to get staff’s overview of the 2019 – 2022 Business Plan and 2019 Budget. The Budget details how taxpayer dollars are spent to support programs and services and advance the City’s Strategic Plan.

Public Engagement

All Budget Committee meetings have time set aside for residents, businesses, special interest groups and taxpayers to comment on budget spending. Residents can attend budget meetings in person or watch them via the City’s live stream. Meetings are also archived for viewing at any time.

First Budget Committee Meeting
On June 13, Finance staff will present highlights of the City’s current and projected finances. They will also provide the timelines for upcoming Budget Committee meetings and public engagement activities.

During the scheduled 2019 Budget Committee meetings in the fall, City staff will present their current service levels, cost pressures, efficiencies and new initiatives. Once the Committee approves the proposed Budget, it will go to Council for approval.
