Join in the Family Day Fun in Mississauga this Weekend

Monday, February 21 is Family Day! Get ready for a day full of fun and excitement in Mississauga. There is a lot to do across the city with various locations hosting recreational, arts and cultural programs and activities. So gather your friends and family and get ready to have some fun!

Family Day City Events

Family Day at Mississauga Celebration Square (presented by TD)
Bring the whole family to Celebration Square over the long weekend for some winter fun! Enjoy skating, food trucks, heated lounges with comfortable seating and family photo stations celebrating the upcoming Ontario Parasport and Summer Games. Explore wooden forts and watch short films on the big screens to make it feel like a snow day. Up for a challenge? Download the GooseChase mobile app to complete the Square’s Ultimate Winter Bucketlist for the chance to win a $100 gift card. There’s something for everyone to enjoy!

Enjoy free swimming, skating and family programs at your local community centre. Arrive early – programs are available on a first come, first served basis. Masks must be worn and a QR code for proof of vaccination will be required to enter participating facilities:

Head to the Mississauga Steelheads game! Games are back in-person with tickets available. The Family Day Four Pack deal is available on Monday, February 21, where you can get four tickets, four drinks and four popcorns for just $67. Use the code FAMILY to unlock this offer here. QR code for proof of vaccination will be required. Food and beverage services at event venues are available, but must be consumed while in your seat. Face masks must be worn in your seats and only lowered when actively eating or drinking.

The Raptors 905 are also welcoming fans back to the Paramount Fine Foods Centre as they take on the Wisconsin Herd on Thursday, February 17 at 7:30 p.m. Game-day tickets are available online with a variety of seating options available. QR code for proof of vaccination will be required. Outdoor Winter Fun

Can’t make it out to an event? Visit one of the City’s local parks or trails. Strap on your hiking shoes, fill a backpack with your favourite snacks and explore some of the prettiest parks and forests in the GTA. Visit mississauga.ca/parks.

Family Day Holiday City Service Hours
City offices will be closed on Monday, February 21 for Family Day. Regular hours will resume on Tuesday, February 22.

Libraries are closed on Sunday, February 20 and Monday, February 21.

Animal Services Shelter is closed to the public on Monday, February 21. Officers will be on standby for emergencies and can be reached at 905-615-3000.
