March public consultation opportunities

Share your ideas and feedback on public consultations happening throughout Mississauga.

City services | February 24, 2026

The City of Mississauga actively engages residents in many forms of public consultation throughout the year to gather input on City initiatives, plans, by-laws, programs, services and developments. Feedback from the community helps shape City decisions, leading to effective governance and stronger relationships with the residents and the larger community. Consultations encourage a sense of belonging, connection and inclusivity, allowing for meaningful dialogue, collaboration and feedback.

Residents and businesses can participate in information sessions, open houses, focus groups, workshops, online engagement and surveys. Feedback collected is combined with other relevant data, inputs and trends to guide how the City spends its time, resources and funds on community priorities.

City-wide consultations and applications

Protecting rental housing and tenants – virtual information session

The City is updating its Rental Housing Protection By-law and wants to hear from you! The current by-law requires that any rental units demolished or converted to condos be replaced (one-for-one) with similar rents offered in the new units. This helps protect Mississauga’s existing rental housing and the tenants who live there.

The updated by-law will aim to provide more support for tenants. This could include compensation during construction and help with moving costs.

Join an upcoming virtual information session on Tuesday, March 24 or Tuesday, March 31 to learn more and share your feedback.

Ward-specific consultations and applications

Ward 5: Future park at Grand Highland – online survey

The former Grand Highland Golf Course is being transformed into a vibrant new park. Last summer, residents were asked what features and activities they’d like to see in this future park, and those insights have informed the programming and conceptual design.

Now, residents are invited to review the concept plan, which includes proposed facilities, amenities and features with commemoration of the Antrex Indigenous Village and the First Nations and Indigenous Communities serving as the cornerstone for the future park. Consultation with the First Nations and Indigenous Communities is ongoing and separate from the public engagement process.

Ward 5 residents and those who plan on using the park are encouraged to share their feedback by Sunday, March 15, 2026.
