The City of Mississauga’s 2018 Budget process starts on Wednesday, June 28. The City’s Budget Committee will meet for an overview of the 2018 – 2021 Business Plan and 2018 Budget. The Budget details how taxpayer dollars are spent to support programs and services and advance the City’s Strategic Plan.
Budget Committee meetings will have dedicated time for residents, businesses, special interest groups and taxpayers to have their say on budget spending. Attend the budget meetings in person or watch them via the City’s live stream. Meetings are also archived for viewing at any time.
On June 28, Finance staff will present an overview of the City’s current and projected finances. They will also provide the timelines for upcoming Budget Committee meetings and public engagement activities.

During the scheduled 2018 Budget Committee meetings in the fall, City staff will present their current service levels, cost pressures, efficiencies and new initiatives. Once the Committee approves the proposed Budget, it will go to Council for approval.
