Major renovations include mechanical upgrades and increasing change room and fitness space. Today, residents can enjoy a more comfortable building. The City also benefits from having a more energy efficient facility that is more cost effective to operate.
Through its Strategic Plan and the Community Services “Future Directions” plan for recreation, the City is committed to building and maintaining facilities to meet the changing needs of the community.
River Grove Community Centre was opened in September 1996 and has undergone minor repairs and renovations during the last 18 years. It is one of the City’s facilities with the highest attendance in aquatic programs, membership, drop-in swim programs and rentals.
