This program is a recreational physical activity and healthy eating education initiative designed to promote active living and healthy lifestyles among women and girls from diverse ethno-cultural backgrounds in Mississauga.
Each session includes a one-hour fitness class led by qualified instructors, followed by a one-hour healthy eating and nutrition class facilitated by registered nutritionists. Participants are introduced to a variety of healthy recipes and practical dietary tips aimed at preventing chronic diseases. Through regular participation, women improve both their physical and mental well-being. This project is generously funded by the City of Mississauga.
