Planned improvements
The project will consider a range of roadway improvements and design features that support walking, cycling and public transit.
Some of the work being considered for Kariya Gate and Kariya Drive includes:
- Pavement repairs and resurfacing
- Curb replacements and realignment
- Streetlight pole replacements and lighting upgrades
- Widened sidewalks
- Transit stop improvements
- New cycling facilities
- Crossrides at intersections
The improvements focus on road safety, aligning with the City’s approved Vision Zero Action Plan.
