Overview
Cooksville is one of Mississauga’s most established and diverse neighbourhoods. Located along Cooksville Creek, it’s home to residential communities, schools, parks, businesses, community services and transit connections.
The neighbourhood faces challenges related to extreme heat, flooding, urban growth and access to green spaces. The City, in partnership with the Credit Valley Conservation (CVC), Peel Region and the community, developed the Cooksville SNAP to help address these challenges, while building on the community’s strengths.

Community involvement
Nearly 2,400 community members helped develop the Cooksville SNAP through community engagement activities.
Residents continue to take part in tree plantings, educational workshops and other neighbourhood improvement projects. Community feedback and local leadership help keep actions focused on neighbourhood needs and priorities.
