As development becomes more mixed, intense and interconnected, we’re shifting from a car-centric city to one where public transit is a priority.
Over the next five years, Vision 2029 and Beyond: Transforming Mississauga (2025-2029) will help guide growth and investment at MiWay so that our transit system is ready for the future.
Our success will be measured by strong rider satisfaction, secure investment from development partners, community pride in transit, and a thriving, inclusive workforce.

How we built this plan
Before presenting the plan to the Transit Advisory Committee in December 2024, the leadership team at MiWay took the better part of a year to craft it.
Our journey to develop the plan included a series of workshops and town hall sessions that took place between January and August 2024. Those sessions explored new foundational ideas and inspired the team at MiWay to solve civic challenges and to help transform transit in our city.
The result is a bold and visionary plan that will guide future work while giving the MiWay team the space to seek inspiration, explore trends, think deeply and, most importantly, listen.
