Temporary tents

Your drawings must clearly show what is existing and the changes you’re proposing. Drawings must be to scale, and should use metric measurements. We may request additional information when your application is reviewed.

For a temporary tent you’ll need to submit:

  • Tent Letter of Use
  • Letter of authorization from property owner
  • Tent manufacturer’s design and specifications for framing structure and anchorage system
  • Documentation demonstrating that the tent fabric complies with CAN/ULC-S109
  • Commitment to General Review (if applicable)

The site plan must include the following:

  • Address
  • Property lines (dimensioned)
  • Outline of existing structures
  • Tent location
  • Location of washrooms facilities

Setbacks

  • Tent setbacks to adjacent buildings
  • Tent setbacks to property lines

The floor plan must include the following:

  • Dimensioned
  • Use of floor areas labelled
  • Indicating the location of cooking equipment, if applicable
  • Exist location and size
  • Indicating if the tent is enclosed
