Apply for an airport transportation vehicle licence

You need a licence to own or operate an airport transportation vehicle in Mississauga.

An airport municipal transportation vehicle (AMTV) has an illuminated roof light with numbers on the side fenders.

An airport public transportation vehicle (APTV) has no required markings.

Both types of vehicles are the only vehicles licensed to pick up and drop off travelers or goods at airports. They:

  • Have a flat-rate fee
  • Must be scheduled
  • Only travel between Lester B. Pearson International Airport and any point in the City
  • Can only make one fare or charge per trip
