We usually plant trees in the spring, summer and fall. However, we can’t plant trees in locations where there are underground utilities.

Before the tree is planted, clear the planting area by removing any decorative items, plants or other objects. The City is not responsible for damage to private property placed on the City-owned road allowance, as outlined in the Encroachment By-law.
City contractors water street trees during their growing season. They do this for the next two years after planting. You can help maintain and care for the new tree to support it’s long-term survival and growth.
